Fence Design &
Installation Services
From heavy-duty Western Red Cedar privacy structures to sophisticated ornamental ironwork, we design and build gorgeous, structurally bulletproof fences engineered for DFW clay.
Three Standards Every New Build Meets
A fence is only as good as the three engineering decisions made before the first picket goes on: how deep the post sits, what the post is made of, and how the framing is fastened to it. We do not compromise on any of the three.
36-Inch Post Depth
Every hole goes down to 36 inches so the concrete footing sits below the active layer of DFW clay. Shallower than that, the soil simply lifts the post out over the first wet winter.
Galvanized Steel Posts
Schedule 40 galvanized steel posts replace traditional wood posts that rot at the ground line. The fence wood is bracketed to steel, so you replace pickets in 15 years, not the entire fence.
Hot-Dipped Hardware
Hot-dipped galvanized ring-shank nails grip the wood permanently and never bleed rust. Cheap electro-galvanized fasteners are the reason most fences have black streaks down every picket within a year.
Premium Privacy Designs
We construct custom wood fences designed to look gorgeous from both sides while offering absolute privacy and structural integrity.

Board-on-Board
The ultimate privacy design. Pickets overlap by 1 inch, completely eliminating gaps even when the wood naturally shrinks in hot Texas summers.

Side-by-Side
A clean, classic residential design offering great privacy and exceptional value, finished with a beautiful top cap and trim board.

Modern Horizontal
Sleek, contemporary clean-line style. Boards run horizontally to emphasize property width and create a striking architectural frame.
New Build Material Guide
We select our building materials with extreme care. We utilize premium, slow-growth Western Red Cedar and heavy-duty galvanized metals to guarantee structural longevity.
| Material Type | Suitability | Stained Lifespan | Dimensional Stability |
|---|---|---|---|
| Premium #1 Western Red Cedar | Highly Recommended | 20 - 25 Years (Stained) | Outstanding (Zero twisting) |
| Pressure-Treated Southern Yellow Pine | Recommended for Framing | 15 - 20 Years (Stained) | Moderate (Prone to warping) |
| Schedule 40 Galvanized Steel | Mandatory for Posts | Lifetime (Impervious to soil) | Absolute (90 MPH wind rated) |
Signs Your Fence Needs Complete Replacement
Inspect your existing fence line for these key structural indicators to determine if your fence is beyond repair and requires a custom new build.
Broken or Splitting Wood Posts
Wind Load & Ground RotWood posts set directly in soil absorb moisture and rot at the ground line. Under heavy Texas windstorms, these weakened posts easily snap, causing entire sections of the fence to collapse.
Ugly Black Rust Streaks
Incorrect FastenersUsing standard steel nails or cheap electro-galvanized fasteners causes rapid oxidation. Rainwater washes this rust down the pickets, creating permanent, ugly black streaks on the wood.
Severe Picket Gaps
Wood ShrinkageUnseasoned wood pickets shrink by up to 1/2 inch as they dry under the Texas sun. If built as a standard side-by-side fence, this shrinkage creates wide gaps that destroy your backyard privacy.
Warped or Sagging Framing
Weak Horizontal RailsUsing cheap, thin spruce rails or spacing posts too far apart (more than 8 feet) causes the fence framing to sag under the weight of the pickets, resulting in a wavy, unstable fence line.
Common Fence Installation Pitfalls
Building a fence is highly structural. Amateur shortcuts, weak post settings, and cheap fasteners will cause your fence to warp, sag, and fail within months.
Spacing Posts More Than 8 Feet Apart
Severe Structural SaggingSpacing posts 10 or 12 feet apart to save on concrete and metal posts compromises structural integrity. The horizontal rails will quickly sag under the picket weight, and the fence will buckle in high winds.
Using Wood Posts in Concrete
Accelerated Post RotPouring concrete directly around a wood post traps moisture against the timber. Rainwater pools in the concrete collar, creating a perfect breeding ground for wood-destroying fungi at ground level.
Using Electro-Galvanized Nails
Ugly Rust & BleedingElectro-galvanized nails have an ultra-thin zinc coating that quickly wears away during installation. Within months, these nails rust, bleeding black streaks down your beautiful cedar pickets.
Building Gates Without Metal Frames
Dragging & Sagging GatesLarge wood gates built without structural metal frames or heavy diagonal bracing will naturally sag and drag within a year due to gravity and moisture absorption. Gates require rigid steel support.
Our Building Process
A custom fence build requires strict engineering and high-end materials. We execute a disciplined multi-day technical sequence to ensure your fence is perfectly straight, strong, and beautiful.
Demolition, Utility Markings & Digging
We coordinate with Texas 811 to locate all underground utilities. We then tear down your old fence, haul away the debris, and dig our post holes to a strict 30-to-36-inch depth.
Steel Post Setting & Concrete Pour
We set heavy-duty Schedule 40 galvanized steel posts and pour high-strength wet-mix concrete, bracing them perfectly straight and level while the concrete cures.
Structural Framing & Rails
We install three horizontal 2x4 cedar framing rails using heavy-duty galvanized post-to-rail brackets, creating a perfectly level, sag-free backbone.
Picket Installation & Trim Details
We hand-nail premium Western Red Cedar pickets using hot-dipped galvanized ring-shank nails, adding a top cap and face trim board for an elegant, custom finish.
Why We Use Steel Posts
Traditional wood fence posts rot at ground level within 5 to 7 years due to constant contact with wet soil and bacteria. Additionally, North Texas windstorms put immense stress on the fence line, easily snapping weakened wood posts. We exclusively build our custom fences using heavy-duty Schedule 40 galvanized steel posts. These posts are completely impervious to soil moisture, insects, and rot, and are engineered to withstand wind loads up to 90 MPH, guaranteeing your fence stands straight for decades.
